Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking to recruit a competent Construction Engineer – Mechanical / Piping as a member of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team based in Kuwait, responsible for construction and completions delivery of KNPC’s Fifth Gas Train Project.

 

  • Create and sustain a good team spirit within the project team, KNPC and EPC Contractor
  • Provide guidance and direction concerning all facets of construction, completions and their delivery
  • Monitor and review construction related documentation originated by the EPC Contractor
  • Review project studies and proposals for constructability and / or construction hazard identification
  • Monitor and review the EPC Contractor’s and their Subcontractors' construction activities including resourcing thereof
  • Responsible for site engineering activities and providing technical assistance to the construction supervision team
  • Assist in the resolution of technical queries arising at site
  • Coordinate and resolve field construction queries interfacing with engineering and completions
  • Assist in the review and approval of Subcontractors method statements
  • Review “as built“ drawings
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Monitor, appraise, and report to KNPC on quality and safety construction performed by the EPC Contractor and their Subcontractors / Vendors

Skills / Qualifications

  • B.Sc. Engineering Degree
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ post-graduate experience
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in the oil & gas, refining, and petrochemical industries
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • HSE awareness and commitment
  • Prior PMC experience an asset
  • Prior Middle East experience an asset
