Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Project Engineer.



  • Manage tendering, major FEED execution and EPC ITT preparation

  • Plan and manage project activities, projects conflicts resolution
  • Ability to manage FEED / EPC of multidiscipline scope including Offshore / Onshore pipelines projects
  • Ensure proper project management tools and techniques in place and enforced on the project
  • Periodic meeting with Company PMT, reports to PMT as required
  • Monitor and control projects related interfaces, changes , risk, deviations from requirements, services by company to contractors, lesson learned
  • Monitor and control overall performance of contractors and suggest resolutions and correction actions as required
  • Attend all meetings with contractor
  • Perform trend analysis to ensure projects are on track and advise corrective actions as required
  • Coordinate the inputs for deliverables
  • Review all project related and reports documents from contractor and take the required actions
  • Draft the letters / faxes to contractors, close coordinating and expediting contractors
  • Manage all coordination including but not limited to project team, site team, companies internal departments, OPCOs and ADNOC
  • Evaluate and advise Company representative on the required actions on claims submitted by contractors, ensure optimization, etc.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 20 years relevant experience in the oil / gas industry
  • Minimum 8 years of outstanding project engineering experience for handling group of logically inter-related major oil / gas projects
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in reputed client or PMC organizations
  • Must be able to understand the sequence of activities for the various project phases and get the same done thru the FEED tendering then EPC ITT preparation
  • Shall have the personality and drive to have coordination among the various disciplines and achieve the project objectives
  • High professional competence, technical, engineering, procurement and construction knowledge skills are the prime requisites of this position
